My Laundry Room Reveal

Hi all! Today, I’m showing you my finished laundry room.  I already shared little peeks into the room during the Spring Into Organization Blogger Home Tour.

To prep for the tour, I painted the room, made a curtain, added knobs to the cabinet doors, hired my cabinet guys to build a counter for the top of the washer and dryer and had my father-in-law install it (he installed the chandelier at Christmas time.)  I also made some labels for the baskets, organized the sewing supply cabinets, bought some décor pieces and then put it all together to look like so…

I do LOVE my laundry room.  I certainly have no problems spending time in here.
I LOVE the glass jars. These ones hold potpourri, clothes pins and oxi-clean.
The chandelier is from Ikea.
These trays are from Ross.  I got them on clearance, because they’re missing a few diamonds,  BUT I just turn them, so the missing parts are in the back, you’d never even know. The larger one holds towels that I use in the room…
and a smaller one holds dryer sheets.
The counter is the perfect spot for folding.

a rod for hanging smaller items and to hold my hangers.
These baskets hold clean folded clothes.  They’re from Ikea.
I made these labels out of t-shirt transfers and material.  I show you how to make them HERE.
Underneath are two dirty clothes drawer pull-outs.  Perfect for sorting the clothes.  If you don’t have anything like this, options can be found: here and here and here.

Wall hooks from Ikea for hanging clothes.
and an ironing board holder attached to the back of the door.
I made this faux roman shade, similar to the way Centsational Girl made hers.  She has a great tutorial for those of you who’d like to make one and an awesome laundry room too!

The other side of my laundry room has a place for my sewing machine and supplies.
and a basket for socks.
Earlier this week, I showed you my sewing cabinets all organized.
Go here to see the full detailed post.
The edit-able and printable sewing cabinet labels can be found HERE and HERE. They are blank labels that you can type in your own wording, giving you the option to label or tag whatever you wish.
Inside the closet I store more baskets for clean and folded clothing.
These BLANK printable labels can be found in my shop here.  Use these ones to label or tag whatever you want as well.

Now the before and after together of my laundry room:
Just a few changes can make a big difference in a room.

    Jenn :)

  3. Your laundry room looks wonderful and so practical, all that storage is lovely, my home looks like a laundry mountain at the moment!

  4. Oh My goodness! Your laundry room looks more like a fancy kitchen than a laundry room. Wow! It looks great! My laundry room...a corner of the garage. Someday.... In the meantime I'll just look at yours and pin it for inspiration and hope. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Wow--your laundry room is nicer than my kitchen. I'd LOVE to do some laundry in there!

  6. If I promise to do your laundry, can I come hang out in that amazing room?

  7. I love your "new" laundry room. I love all those beautiful baskets and the labels and the hooks where you can hang shirts and the ironing board holder behind the door AND the cute chandelier! So many little things add up to a wonderful room. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas. I have already started to redo my (tiny) laundry room (I wallpapered it) and have to add a few more things. Would love you to comment on it then, although it will probably be finished only in June or so ... as I have all those other little projects that I'm working on and I work full-time.

  8. It looks beautiful!! Love that chandelier!! Great job DaNita!!

  9. I love it. Do you have music to listen to while your work?

  10. I would love to wash my clothes in here. I'm getting so many wonderful ideas lately. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Looks beautiful!!! Good job! You are so talented!

  12. Wow, so very beautiful! Thanks for inspiring us!

    Blessings and smiles,

  13. woah! your laudry room is gigantic and super organized! looks as nice as someone's bedroom!! great job!

  14. I love the look of your laundry room. Having so much storage is awesome. I always like to look at laundry room/sewing room combinations because I have the same in my tiny home. I was wondering if you really sew in there though...or is it just the sewing machine's landing spot (like if you sew at the dining room table). That bench seat looks like their wouldn't be room for your knees under that part of the counter.

    1. Yes, I really do sew in here. I don't do much sewing, so for the little bit that I do, this space works perfectly. The stool actually works great for me, I end up pulling it pretty far out, so I do have just enough room.

  15. It looks so pretty DaNita. I'm loving the paint color and all the labels. Pretty space!

  16. WOW! I think I could LIVE in your laundry room. What a great space!

  17. Very glamourous! I love all of the practical elements too that are so functional like the hanging rod and the hooks for hanging shirts, etc. Beautiful job!

  18. I think I would live in my laundry room if it looked like that. I LOVE it! You did a marvelous job!

  19. Awesome. If I ever do up my laundry room I am taking a lot of tips from this post!

  20. Hi!! I love your laundry room!! Can you tell me where you purchased the cabinets with the pull out laundry sorter?

  21. Okay, okay. I SO need to redo my laundry room. This is amazing!
