Relaxation Gift Basket Idea

As you already know, I love creating gift baskets.  I’ve shared quite a few different arrangements with you already, if you missed them, you can view them in my post gallery here.

Recently I did a relaxation/towel/bathroom gift basket as a bridal shower gift. It could be used for mothers (mothers day is coming up soon ;) or anyone in need of a little relaxation.

Buy your supplies from any store.  I found my items from Costco and Ross.  A few ideas would be: towels, hand towels, wash cloths, bubble bath, sponges, back scrubbers, bath salt, lotions, potpourri, candles, soap, shampoo, a good book, etc.  You get the idea.  Anything that goes along with relaxing in a nice bubble bath.  Don’t forget to get a basket or bin to arrange the items in and some paper shred and tissue paper.
Lay the items out.  If you want, remove the price tags from each piece.  Unless you are leaving a gift receipt inside the basket, then just remove the price part of the tag or mark the price out with a sharpie.
I rolled the towels and wrapped them with ribbon that I had on hand, just to give the towels a bit of a custom look.
I simply start filling up the basket, arranging the items until I like the look.
After getting all the towels, hand towels and wash cloths into the basket, I used white tissue paper to fill the empty space, before adding the rest of the items.  This allows for the items to stay more of top of the basket, vs. falling to the bottom.  You can use a small cardboard box as well.
:)
Then I just placed the rest of the items on top of the tissue paper and once I liked where everything was, I filled in the open areas with brown paper shred.
:)
add some cellophane around the basket, tie with a ribbon bow and voila!  You're ready to deliver your gift.

May you be a little inspired!
Until next time,
DaNita

Organizing My Mom’s Bathroom Cabinets

Hello All! Happiest Monday to you!

Today, I’d like to take a moment to share a little more organizing that I had completed for my mother, back in January.

I organized under her bathroom cabinet:

Using Dollar Tree bins.  These ones are the same that I used in my:

In my Paper Tableware cabinet,

and I also used one of these same baskets under my kitchen sink.

When I opened my moms cabinet in the bathroom, I knew right away that she just needed a few bins to calm the chaos going on in there.

Dollar Tree bins are always an inexpensive, quick, organizing solution, So.. we picked some of them up and used them in her bathroom.
:)
I didn’t get a before picture, but I did manage to take a couple of photo’s during…
Notice that when pulling items out of the space(s) that I organize, I tend to pile “like” items together.  That way you can sort through as you go.
Hair supplies go in one basket.
Curling irons, flat irons and blow dryers in another.
Miscellaneous in another…
Make-up in another basket
and toilet paper in another.  There was one more basket and it holds feminine supplies.
I used an existing organizer that my mom had to sort hair things…
Barrettes in one drawer
Elastic bands in another
Headbands in another,
and bobby-pins in another.
and that’s it, my mom’s bathroom cabinets in Delightful Order.

If you missed the rest of her home organization, you can view each post, by clicking the photo(s) below:

That’s all that I plan on sharing from my mom’s home organization. Hope this has inspired some of you to bring delightful order to your home in some way.

Spring is the perfect time for organizing.  What space do you want to tackle organizing?  Be sure to share it at our Delightfully Inspiring Thursday Party any Thursday.  I’d LOVE to see your spaces.

May you be a little inspired!
Until next time,
DaNita

Organizing My Mom’s Craft Storage Closet

Hey there!  Hope your weekend was fab!

I‘m going to finish showing you my mom’s organization in the next couple weeks.  Back in January, I spent some time at her place getting a few of her spaces in order.

Today, I’m sharing her hall closet. It’s mostly filled with crafts, but there are also gifts, photo’s, tools and whatever else needed a home in her place.

The after is a MUCH better space than the before.
This is what the closet looked like when I went to put something in it.  I could hardly get the door to open.

When I went to my mom’s house the plan was to organize her knitting and sewing spaces.  However, often times when you start to organize one space, it leads to another and another. So I ended up organizing many different spaces in her home.
Check out all the storage bins in this closet.
Most of the bins are either Sterilite bins from Wal-Mart or Dollar Tree bins.
My mom stocks up on gifts. We made a special place for boy gifts…
and a bin for girl gifts.
I used Avery address labels to label these bins.  I do like the labels that I sell in my shop better, because they are bigger and brighter and easier to see at a glance.
a place for everything…
… and everything in it’s place.
:)
These bins are photo bins that my mom needs to go through.  She started to create memory books for each of her kids, the large bin on the bottom holds all of those books.
more craft items and an greeting card box, organized similar to mine
and a special place for games.

Now.. check out the before and after together:
Much better, don’t you think?

May you be a little inspired!
Until next time,
DaNita
