Labeling the Pantry

Hey there!  Hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was a busy one.  I attended a fun wedding shower with some great ladies, cleaned my house, worked on items for my shop and I also started painting my laundry room. (More on that coming soon.)

Picking paint colors is not my favorite thing to do. I had the laundry room half painted and decided I didn’t like the color in there, so I got a new color and started over.   I do that ALL.THE.TIME.  You wouldn't even want to know how many rooms I've painted over.  I think I'm just a tad too particular. ;) Picking colors just isn't my thing.

Give me an entire room (or house) and I’d be in my glories organizing the thing.  I know it’s not for everyone, but I really enjoy taking a space and making it better, more organized, more efficient, clean, you get the idea.

Organizing is a LOT of work, IT IS!  But the rewards that one receives from it is amazing.  I know a lot of you who frequent my blog and have been inspired to bring order to your homes know this.  I KNOW you know how much work it is and I KNOW you know how rewarding it is.

Let me just say… I LOVE to hear from you and to see how I’ve inspired you. Thank you for letting me know!  For real, a blogger needs to hear this.  That’s what makes it worth ALL the hard work that goes into a blog (and believe me, it’s a LOT of work.) So THANK YOU for lifting me up and encouraging me to keep on, keeping on!  Truly, I appreciate it more than you know.

Okay, onto this post… I’ve recently spent some time creating new labels for my pantry.

and I like it. :)
Remember… this is how it use to look.  I shared this area with you a while back. You can read my original pantry post HERE.
I do love the Tupperware Modular Mates.
and I love my pantry even more now with my new labels.
and yes, I added the labels to the shop as well.  You can find them HERE and HERE.
you get a gazillion labels...
okay, not really, BUT you do get 72 of these smaller labels.

You can attach the label to a bag with a clip if you don't have bins.  This is what I do with the overflow.

I dream of a pantry with great built in shelves (not the wire ones) BUT when we were building, this was the way we chose to go.  I don't know why.

I actually have a vision for what this pantry can look like.  I'd put nice built-in shelves, maybe a counter top to store my toaster and blender and stuff.  You know, I dream. Who knows, I may just make that happen one of these days. ;)  I like projects that better an area.

I've been saying that I want to label the baskets in my pantry and I'm so excited to finally have it done.
The baskets labels are quite a bit larger.  You can find these ones HERE.
and that’s it!  My pantry has been brought to Delightful Order! :)

Want to bring your pantry, kitchen cabinets and such to Delightful Order with these labels?

You can find the 72 pantry labels here and find the 8 large pantry labels here

Oh and one more thing... I added some blank labels to the shop too.  Ones that you can either write directly on OR... you also get a PNG file that you can add text over... SO you can label your ENTIRE house!! :)   Not just that, but these labels/tags work great for so many other things too.  Hang from gift bags, backpacks, lunch boxes, you name it.  Come over and check it out.  More blank designs coming soon too.

May you be a little inspired!
Until next time,
DaNita

  1. I actually took a picture of my pantry this morning, thinking I need to organize it and at least I'd have the before shots done. Then I sat down with breakfast, opened your blog, and saw a post about your pantry. It looks amazing! I'll be happy if mine turns out half as well.

  3. Um... I just died. And possibly drooled on my keyboard. I so WISH my pantry could look like that. We have the wire shelves too, but only one wall (no L shape like yours). Sadly, I have to store my extra mixing bowls, china, etc in there along with my pantry stuff. It's organized, but not nearly as nice as yours. I think your blog is giving me a complex. You want to take a road trip to Connecticut and spruce my place up?? LOL

    1. Judy,
The Modular Mates in my pantry are the rectangular size. The biggest size is #4 (for flour, sugar, etc.) (#3 chips, snacks, crackers, etc.) (#2 for brown sugar, powdered sugar, etc.)and the smallest is #1 for popcorn kernels, etc.)

  7. Your blog is very inspiring! I have been in our little house for a year now and have started to clean and rearrange kitchen drawers, and I am envious of your narrow pantry shelves. Mine is deep and one door wide. Have you posted any rearranging of that type pantry? Thank you for being so organised - it certainly is a gift and you share it beautifully with others. xx

  11. Isn't an organized pantry amazing?! I love yours, and mine isn't nearly as big. However, in January, I tackled it with bins and chalkboard contact paper for labels. To this day, it's still organized!

  12. Love your blog and all your orgainzing tips! Quick question - how do you have these label attached to your storage containers? It looks like the ones on the wicker baskets are just tied there, but what about the plastic containers? Do you wash the containers with the labels on them, or are they removable for washing? Thanks again!

  13. I attach the labels to the bins using my sticker makers. I've talked about those in these posts here:

  15. I just wanted to say I began selling Tupperware because I fell in LOVE with the Modular Mates! I have not bought as many as you have but I'm getting there. I have the black seals and right now Tupperware is only selling the blue and red seals.... So I'm at a stand still! But cannot wait to finish!!

We are military so my pantry changes with every move but the Modular Mates always adapt well lol!!

  17. Wow! Your pantry is lovely and inspirational, really. The labels are my favorite part. What a difference they make...just fabulous!

Do you find that cereal, pretzels and things go stale when you put them into the storage containers? When I've tried them in the past, everything gets stale so quickly.

    1. Items don't really go stale in my home, but I do have 4 growing boys too (so often they eat everything so fast it doesn't have time to.) I really think that Tupperware keeps items from going stale longer than other containers.

    1. The shop is closed from January 7, 2013 through January 21, 2013. That is why you are not able to order them.

Check back on the 22nd. I will open shop again then.

  19. Something that I have found for wire shelves such as yours in your pantry, was to use tile stickers. I believe they sell them at Lowe's and Home Depot and such. You can find many designs, so that you can have them fit your need/design scheme. You peel them off and lay them down on the wire, and they stick. Just thought I'd share.

  20. Do you not find it actually harder to find things when all the containers are a uniform size and colour? I think that would slow me down having to read labels. If I was to do something like this, I would want things to be different colours or have bigger labels maybe with pictures instead of writing.

  21. Been selling Tupperware over 30 years and have to say you have emulated what Tupperware intended the Modular Mates to be ... A food storage system to preserve your dry goods.

Would live to share your webpage and photos on our social media sites Our customers would love your labels!
