My Back Entrance Finished

My back entrance is finally finished. Done. Complete and I’m SO excited to check this off my list of things to do.
You may recall seeing my future plans for this area:

I talked about it in my Schools Out, Organize the Backpacks Post.  The photo above is from that post.

The first thing I did was paint the backpack/ homework board wall.  The paint is leftover paint from my kitchen. The color is SW6123 Baquette from Sherwin Williams.

Next I finished up the homework boards. AND GUESS WHAT... You can have the same thing because I sell The 16 x 20 prints!  They are AVAILABLE right HERE in my shop.

I also made some new backpack wall hooks. I’ve already shared the tutorial on these guys.

Then I went digging into my material stash and found some fabric for curtains and made this window treatment.
To add a little color, I made a fabric flower.
I’ll show you how I made this one, soon.
I found this chair at goodwill for $4.00
and added it to our little homework desk area.

I’ve recently showed you my storage for coats, shoes and hats, which covered the rest of my plans for this area.
If you missed that post, you can view it HERE.

Now for the Before and After’s:
and the entire space:
and that's it, this area is finally finished and I'm happy to have another project done :)

Since Thursday is Thanksgiving, my Delightfully Inspiring Thursday Party starts earlier this week. I'll post the party tomorrow morning so be sure and come back and link to the party.

May you be a little inspired! Until next time,
DaNita

Entry Way: Clients Home

In July I shared  this post with you talking about the awesome storage bench and wall shelf that I found online for my clients home.

The other day I received this comment: “Have you finished this space yet?? I'm dying to see pictures! :)”

To answer that question, YES, I  finished the space.  It’s been done for about, well let’s see, about 3 months now.  Time just slips by and one project leads to another and another and so on. Then 3 or 4 months slip by and I realize that I have yet to edit the photo’s to get them ready for a post.

So that lil’ question kicked me in gear and I finally got the photo’s of my clients home edited and ready to share with all of you delightful peeps. (Sorry for making you wait so long.)

This here, is my clients entry way:
1
This is the Ashton bench and wall shelf with baskets that came from JCPenney’s. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE it! You can find that coat rack here.

The fabulous rugs are from Target.  Being that my client has such a long entry way, we decided to put two runners down, instead of one.

The basket on the floor is for shoes.
2
:)
3
Those adorable pillows on the bench are from Pier 1.
4
On the opposite wall of the storage unit, I hung an existing mirror (Painted from cream to brown.) I found the “Welcome to our home” vinyl wall art at Craft Warehouse.  It was on clearance for about 2 or 3 bucks.
5
Here is the view when you walk into my clients home.  I've already showed you her daughter's zebra room  and her son's sports room.  Eventually, I’ll show you more of her living room, kitchen, dining room and a few other spaces too.

Here’s the side by side before & after’s of my clients completed entry way:
1before and after

So tell me, do you have a great storage solution in your entry way?  Come back here on Thursdays and share it at the Delightfully Inspiring Thursday Party.

May you be a little inspired! Until next time,
DaNita
