Peek Inside My Pantry

I like a clean, organized pantry!  One that LOOKS good, even behind closed doors.

Take a peek inside:
I LOVE Tupperware and Baskets and that's pretty much what my pantry consists of.
This wall is just the perfect little wall to hang my boys' lunch boxes.
I label all my bins.  I printed these on Easy Peel Clear Mailing Labels (the ones made by Avery.)  I have a laser printer, so I am able to wash the Tupperware in the dishwasher & the labels don't smear.  And they actually stay on pretty good.

Most of my labels have been on for years & have had many washings.  After printing the labels I cut around the words & stuck them to the bins.

Here is a closer look at some of the bins:

The very bottom shelf under all the Tupperware is where I keep my overstock of paper towel.

and next to the paper towel, closest to the door is where I keep potatoes.
Remember the shelves of baskets?  (all the baskets are from IKEA from a few years back, oh and same with the stool, that came from Ikea too)
Let's take a peek at what's inside those baskets:

On the very top shelf  I keep school lunch stuff.   Stuff I don't want the boys to be able to get for themselves. (juice bags, bagged chips, etc)
In the basket on the next shelf are all my boxed items.

Next shelf holds all my canned soup.

Below that the basket is filled with canned fruits & vegetables & tuna fish.

The basket on the bottom shelf holds miscellaneous stuff (like bbq sauce, spaghetti sauce etc.)

and the basket that sits on the floor is my overstock of ziplock bags and paper lunch bags.

The reason I LOVE BASKETS is because they hide the not so pretty things.

Someday I plan on labeling the baskets too.

I have to share with you how my 2 year old entertained himself while I reorganized my pantry today.

This is what he was up to...
little munchkin got into my games!
He LOVES to play with everything BUT toys.

Guess I have some more organizing to do.

But until I get to the games, I'm going to enjoy my clean, organized pantry...
... because this is the nicest it will ever look!

Don't have a pantry to organize?  There are some really cool ideas out there on creating a pantry with shelves & fabric covers.

Closet Space Expanders

Have you seen the Closet Space Expanders made my Mainstays?
If you ask me, they are the coolest little things ever!

I did a little school uniform organizing and used these expanders to create more space.
I got them from “good ole Walmart”

Want more hanging space in your closet? This is one way you can achieve that quite inexpensively.

5th Wheel Trailer Space Reclaimed

I have a friend that is temporarily living in a 5th wheel trailer and I had offered to help her get “settled.”  As settled as you can get in a trailer anyway.  So, last week I went over & we tackled the job together.  Since, I LOVE organized spaces, and this is an organizational blog I asked her if I could blog on it, she chuckled and said “OK.”  I was excited with the end results & wanted to share the photos with you.  This is what the trailer looked like when I walked in.

so, we dove right in and started going through bins and folded a LOT of clothes.
We found a place for everything.

The counters no longer look like this.

they now look like this, with a place underneath for shoes & garbage.

And this is what the rest of the place looked like after we tackled it.

So, you ask… what did we do with all those clothes that were piled on the couch?
Well, of course we folded them & either found a bin, a basket or a closet for them all.

Amazing huh? A place for everything & everything in it’s place. :)
Now let’s take one last look.

and . . .

Oh and remember the bedroom? This is what it looked like before:

and now it looks like this!

Hopefully my friend and her family slept peacefully that night!
:)

Unique Jewelry Organizing

I have to share something that I think is super cool!   I like to find unique ways of organizing.

I was trying to decide how to organize my jewelry.  I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond and found these key ring hooks:

I attached them to the inside of my master bathroom cabinet door, and hung all my jewelry from the hooks.  I hang my rings on the hooks too.

My jewelry no longer is piled in a mess in my jewelry box (oh, and I still keep my stud earrings in my jewelry box, on the shelves inside the cabinet.)

Works great for me.  Question; How do you organize your jewelry?

May you be a little inspired!

Until next time,

DaNita

Refrigerator Face-Lift

A disorderly refrigerator in desperate need of some “delightful order”

Uhhh, can you say M.E.S.S.?!
First, things first… REMOVE EVERYTHING!  and begin the process…

. . . Next, clean the fridge from top to bottom!
(for real, I think this may be the very first time I have ever scrubbed this fridge so good,
including removing all drawers, and wiping down every inch) ok, ok don’t laugh, it’s only been 2 1/2 years or so! I often rearrange & wipe it down, but removing all drawers? That just doesn’t happen often enough! I think I like this blogging thing… it Inspires ME!
Now that it’s all clean. I have a fresh start to begin loading it back up..

After tossing out left over dinner from, umm let me think, maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago, giving some scraps to our chickens(notice the brown eggs, those are from our chickens, and they are Super Duper tasty, if I may say so myself) and after tossing out some moldy stuff (yuck!) this is the end result!
Ahhhh… that feels better!  Now let’s see the before and after shots. . .

Voila!  There you have it! A refrigerator that’s had a “Delightful Order” face-lift!
